Laundry is onsite not in unit but this never became an issue for me. Onsite gym is not good so you will want to keep whatever gym membership you have. The older construction is better with noise compared to the new builds I lived in (everything depends on neighbors even a house). Management takes care of the building and seems engaged. I’m also open to suggestions for other places as well, I just want to stay as close to Philly as possible (without living there of course). If you were a mid-twenties guy, which town would be a better fit for socialization and lifestyle? Oaklyn seems nice, and it is a good amount cheaper than Collingswood.Īt the end of the day does it really matter if I live in Oaklyn or Collingswood/Westmont? They both seem close to the PATCO, but I don’t know anything about Oaklyn’s downtown. I’ve also heard its age demographic skews toward old?Īnyways, because the pickings are so slim in Collingswood/Westmont, I’ve been looking at neighboring towns like Oaklyn. I’ve had my eye on the HaddonView Apts, but it’s completely booked right now. I’m in my mid-twenties, would like a place in South Jersey that is easily commutable to Philly, but also decent downtown (like Westmont). My budget is decent, around $1600-$1700 monthly. Currently looking for a 1 BR rental, and the choices are pretty sparse right now. Hi, I’m planning to move into the South Jersey area around Haddon Township.
